jus came back from wat is undoubtedly my most productive group study ever. two guys. xD this goes to show - when i study with another guy, in a small grp, i study better than in a bigger grp, eg. 4, or with girls. but most of all.. i'd rather study solo at home. =x but tmr is a maths.. cant study alone xD if not i'm gonna leave all the qns blank tmr.. i cannot get 26/80 for tmr's paper again. absolutely cannot.. i need the a1 here.. or at least an a2 ba. cos i want my rj.. i want it.

just came back from the wss festpiel.. i got A LOT to say xD

first came the band.. the drum solo was kewl. except for one part where one guy went off sync the whole thing was kewl. darn kewl.. then the band started playing some pieces. except for the phantom of the opera piece, i found the rest quite erm.. to be frank, unimpressive ^^; but the phantom of the opera was kewl. there was a sudden scream from out of nowhere halfway thru that made my hair stand on end lor.. shocking xD

then we had an interval before the musical started. honestly, after seeing the band i was liek, not expecting much out of the musical. but i was WRONG. the whole damn thing was DAMN KEWL. i challenge chs ppl to do smt like that.. cfm cannot de xD like josh said, the kewl thing is that they can act naturally, and the whole cast can sing. even the adults! =o and there was a storyline that i could actually follow xD so i at least understood the thing. the sound system was also good, so the lyrics of their various songs were pretty clear. there was even alumni performing in the thing, so it was like, u can see the bonding lor. i cant imagine chs alumni come back to act for elegance a la esplanade. i jus cant imagine o.o;

but one thing struck me during the musical. they were like, talking abt smt, then they said "wonder what our neighbours said about us. no, not those neighbours. they are stranger than us. i'm talking about our animal neighbours" diaoz.. wanna suan cat high but dont wanna say they name xD its like, sooo obvious la! haha.. but its interesting to have another sch mention ur own sch during their play rite.. yea. its kewl xD

then came the finale.. wah piang ehz. they sand their sch song, but in a diff way. for some reason they nv stand up to sing.. so the audience was seated while their sch song played la. anw, after their sch song, they played some megamix.. it was liek, OMG kewl O.O; i was seriously damn impressed. they mixed all the songs in the play into a very upbeat version, when the whole cast sang and was like, whoa. it was like some summary of the whole thing.. kewl.

walao.. today's e maths paper like some drama for me la. i cant believe it.. e maths supposed to be easy, but they hadta come out some crazy paper like this. first qn already got some trick involved liao. eg. distance from y axis is 3 times distance from x axis. at first i thot is y = 3x.. do until qn finish liao, answer also no prob. then i look carefully.. is actually x=3y. -.-; i have a feeling this e maths they gonna have moderation of a 2nd prelim.. the latter being highly unprobable.

anw.. its finally the weekend!! イェイ!!! can slack for a while.. but on sun gotta mug for a maths paper on monday again -.-;

read smt about black holes today.. its really kewl. the reason why we never see a fully formed black hole is cos of some effects of warped time-space. gravity slows down time, and since the gravity at the center of a black hole is so intense, by our perception, time will appear to stop at that point. hence, we never see what a black hole becomes after it is complete.

i also read abt superatoms, but i need more info abt it before i post anyth here. a relatively new discovery, it seems.

today's the day that breaks a a record 4 days of freakishly cold weather. darn. xD today's warm. really warm. stuffy in class, dying to sleep during SS etc.

ytd's full moon was beautiful.. too bad there was so much cloud cover. it was prolly the brightest full moon i've seen in a while la! and it was nice and white. the last full moon that i remember clearly was bright red. go check the book of Revelations xD but really. it was really beautiful last nite. too bad you missed it xP

today i experienced a bit of saras's bitchiness. she enters our class, and before we know it she starts making corrections. no mp3 players. no sleeping. no sitting ard doing nothing. even reading my artemis fowl was a crime. wtf.. i'm reading a book to improve my english la. she tells me its a waste of time. i shld be studying for my social studies. -.-; and shawn chen got caught eating in class. actually he was guang1 ming2 zheng4 da4 eating in class but the bad thing was that saras force him to throw it away before it was even half eaten. it was a packet of cai tao kueh i think. so he was like, damn pissed with her for.. ever. the whole lesson spent using chinese to racially insult her xD but she deserves it. its not like this is her class. i mean. if i spent that 50 mins reading my artemis fowl i coulda finished it le. now what? i have another 60 pages left to go.

and then we were like, looking at choon boon. we noticed smt was not correct.. just.. wrong with the picture. choon boon was..

hrms. next monday tuesday is my prelim le. every teacher was going liek, this is my last lesson with you before your prelim, so i wanna do this.. summarise this, finalise this.. give u hints (but they all turned out useless or tsuff we already know) stuff like that. hrm. i needa start on ss. geog, phy and chem is taken care of.

today's been another nice and damn cold day. AND I LUVVIT!! haha. its really nice. but i freeze in class. which isn't nice. =o

prelims start next monday.. wait. no. tuesday. monday's rest day for me.. today chung walked in in the morning all pissed and stuff.. then we were like, omg. later physics period die le. plus today during the reading period we supposed to fill in another inspiring teachers award... so i dint vote la. scared by the previous experience le.

after the reading period, jion chun walks in and marvin passes him the form. he screams "DUN WANNA VOTE LE! I'M NOT A SWEET BOY OKAY!?" roflmao.. damn funny. he gives us a brief relation of how he greets chung 4 times but got daoded each time.. earlier on marvin told us that he greeted her 4 times, then she dao and walk off real quick. then jc runs after her screaming "mrs chung! mrs chung!!" haha. his gesticulation damn funny.

anw, to our surprise during her lesson she was okay o.O;

today was damn slack.. 2 periods taken for test, and 3 free periods after recess.. might as well not have come xD

now this is interesting. i came across this webby that debuts lots of out everyday science, and tends to make some sense. i'll give ya a few examples.

for instance.. light. you know that for an object to move, it has to possess energy, regardless of whether it is a particle or a wave, which is what scientists are debating about today: whether light is a wave or a particle. anw, basics. when something moves, it has kinetic energy. so when light enters a optically denser medium, it slows down and bends. what does that mean? energy dissipated. okay. then how come when it leaves the medium for a less dense one it speeds up by itself?

next is gravity. you know it as an attracting force, but consider this.. when you have a force, you need a power source to produce the force. where is this power source? another example, imagine you drilled a hole all the way through the earth to create a hole that looks like the diameter of the earth. if you drop something into it, theoretically it would oscillate back and forth through the hole, going from one end to the other and back again. like before, movement requires energy, and making the object endlessly oscillate like that requires a power source. there is none that we observe so far.

i know its getting boring.. but i feel like saying some more xD

okay. this is basic p5 work. like charges repel, unlike charges attract. look at a atom's nucleus. protons are positively charged and surrounded by negatively charged electrons.. so how come the protons dont just fly apart and get attracted to the electrons? this qn is answered by a strong nuclear force, which is supposed to hold the protons together. endlessly. same argument, no energy source to keep the force going.

lastly (or at least what i remember) water expands after it goes below 4ºC, and even has the force to burst the pipes which contain them. lets give an example. a balloon in the sun will expand cos it gets energy from the sun, which causes the molecules to vibrate faster and further apart, and eventually shredding its balloon skin. but water, on the other hand, gets energy removed from it, which means that it should contract.. however, it expands and has enough force to shatter its containers. go figure xD

so.. today we stumbled upon the topic of antimatter (?!?!) haha. dont ask me how we started talking abt it.. i dunno neither. so anw, what i think is right. suppose the world was nothingness at the beginning, and it started with a big bang. okay this is a scientific viewpoint, not the religious one. i'm christian and all, and i have doubts abt both sides. anw, so if it began with nothingness, and something came out of nothingness, something must be able to reverse it, or at least directly oppose it. like for instance, when a stationary neutron splits into two subatomic particles, the two particles speed off at equally high speeds (E=(1/2)mv^2, and m is extremely small. go figure.) in opposite directions to observe the law of conservation of momentum. so, since we got stuff out of nothing, the law of conservation of anything will thus tell us that something must have a "negative mass" so that when the two masses meet, they add up to zero. ie. since theres matter, there has to be antimatter. when the two substances meet, they annihilate and release energy. so imagine. since there has to be a balance, there must be another universe out there made of the stuff we know as antimatter. this be what i think abt this system. so if the two worlds meet, they annihilate and we get back the dark void that the world was before anything happened. what scientists are trying to explain now is why our world is made of matter and not antimatter. the teeny little prob is that the only antimatter that we can conjure up in substantial amounts is antihydrogen.. and being a gas, its hard as hell to contain, and will most definitely meet another atom of hydrogen and annihilate. so this qn gonna be very hard to answer. but imagine another world made of antimatter, where matter is just as hard to contain. they have also suggested that an electrostatic net would be able to trap the antihydrogen particle so that tests can be carried out. this is the first substance that was predicted in theory before actually being discovered, btw.

honestly, i thought it was a little disappointing. okay. that's a mild statement. i really feel that its a BIG disappointment. we were supposed to have invited 25 schools, though like ssk said, it looked like only 10 schs. and st nicks sent a whole contingent of leaders, compared to only two from the other schools. the invitations were prolly missing halfway.. cos it cant be that 16 schs daoded us, including whitley. who never received the invitation, btw.

anw, there are some cool parts. i witnessed the whole school agree on one thing. a sec 3 prefect called lawrence putra (hes indonesian) is hated even before he steps up. he had a louder jeer than anyone in the boards, including wayne, jeremy lim and stuff. pretty impressive huh? i witnessed him elbow a councillor quite forcefully when he was blocked. i dunno if he said anyth tho. but the gesture was plain rude.

and the souvenir is HOW DAMN COOL!!! i cant imagine that cat high could ever make such a kewl thingy. first time ever that i'm saying that cat high's souvenir is kewl. its really kewl. OMG haha. I WANT ONE@!!! JION!! u have spares rite?! GIMME! lols. its really dam nice. those that nv see it must go see see.

and the chair part! quite nice. darryl seemed to be buying time for us outside. "so did you like the i-movie?!" which wasn't in the rehearsal. roflmao. so no screw ups here unlike our expectations.

the school seemed pretty enthu in its cheering today too. it was liek.. REALLY loud. for the first part anyway. later on the cheers got softer.. the jeers too. i was so suspicious i even said "maybe its not our sch.. maybe its the other schools cheering so loudly! =x" zhitao gave me that look that said "what the hell u talking about".. haha!

it was pretty kewl too, how us sec 4s cheered our juniors on. even started the synchronised clapping during the performing item.. haha. but the clapping died down really fast cos the singing was plain poor. except for one part.. the solo. whoo! that guy is good xD i never knew the sec 4 leaders had this kind of spirit. i guess i misunderstood them xD

oh yeah. did i mention that the sec 4s did almost nothing for the investiture except participate in the rehearsals? haha. oh wait, this line excludes the exco xP

well, its over. we endured 2 years and its FINALLY OVER@!! haha. no more odd jobs to do.. no more staying back on saturdays for parent-teachers meetings.. no more stuff! haha. but i will prolly miss the times.. i guess. i dunno. but i cant deny that i'm feeling really like. NO MORE RESPONSIBILITY!! haha. no more tie too. so i dont need to bother abt my image as a councillor anymore xP quote sze huan "from now on only wear ankle length"

received back my summary today. its the final part in my prelim score. so how? i only got 68/100. my compo screwed me inside out.. i need moderation.. two grades please ^^; but what if they really dont moderate.. or only by one grade =s

for those of ya that missed my blog entry for ytd, you can check teh archives. i blogged ard 9pm, so yeah. you coulda missed it. i was playing D2 and forgot to blog =P

so we were in geog today.. then elaine hit on the topic of foreign workers in singapore.. then she said that when the local workers got retrenched they immediately shoot letter to the press. as in newpapers and stuff. they say that we shld not have foreign talents stealing our jobs. joel sitting next to me said "then IBN will be empty"

fyi, IBN is this scientific research institute housed in biopolis that is like.. filled to the brim (i really mean brim) with foreigners. there's only 2 locals there. and the CEO of biopolis ain't even singaporean. wtf rite.. ahah. they're like how bias lor. bwg. =o

so. today chung finally gives us a grin huh. dennis says "today is ovulation. menstruation over le" what a way to put it.. lols. anw, she gave us this personality test so that she could write our testimonials. o.O anw, when we came across a qn.. it says

and my compo.. bad. got a BI, so you'd expect me to have flunked it. as in, "less-than-10" flunked. NO. i passed. =P but that's what i'm sore abt. if i nv BI.. imagine. i would get ard 21.. WTF!! arg. i think my L1 is gone le. T.T

my chi oral is over! and that means.. from now on.. CHI PERIODS ARE SLACK! =D

the reading part was okay.. was like a newspaper report, so no hard words.. and its very straightforward. so the tone to use for the parts are pretty simple, and stuffs like that. the current affairs qn was smt like "an anonymous person donated 20k to a family of less fortunate ppl. whatcha think?" prompted once.. so pretty average ba. then the 2nd qn was "tourists and overseas ppl think singaporean ppl are very big-headed and proud. whatcha think?" no prompt at all... is that a good thing? some say gd some say not. tag what you think kay. its pretty lifeless around here now..

anw, today's topic is.. "when your answer is wrong, change the qn!!"

we adapted this from ngpe, maths teacher. except this time we did it in a bio bk. we referring to me and joel. there was this qn abt genes, and they ask us to complete the genetic diagram. then we completed it, using the symbols O for dominant allele and o for recessive allele. then at the bottom of the page it said "use B for the dominant gene and b for the recessive gene." what did we do? we changed the qn and quoted mdm ng.. wtf. laugh until stomach pain..

got problems? lie to yourself. but it wont last long. cos after you lie to yourself for a while, it stops being a lie.

oh yeah.. i've changed the bgm! its now sepia by shiki.. its a kewl piece. its a 2.06 mb file, so wait a while for it. geocities shld be pretty good with file transfers. the first couple of seconds is extremely soft, so turn down the rest of your music and hear it. be sure to listen all the way thru! its a treat for the ears. =D

i'm gonna cut my hair later.. i'm really gonna miss my fringe.. i want it to stay.. but some things just hafta go. yeah. so i'll have a half fringe.. or rather. a lot less. stupid o lvl oral.. stupid investiture.. if not for you two i'd be keeping my hair okay. i feel like ponning the ch investiture. i wanna run home.. i dont wanna stay there. ah.. whatever.

todays been a kewl youth day.. but i'm lazy to blog the contents xD but something really caught my attention today..

i saw a really familiar face on the bus today.. a face that i dint see for a year and hope i'd never hafta see again. joel. you'd know her very well. VEEEERRRRYYY well. you ruined my relationship with her thankew.. stupid rumours -.-; you know i didn't have a crush on her.. ah. whatever. shes outta my life anyway xD

just in case you cant see it, which is the case on my comp, u see theres three fields at the bottom of the div. the first one, on the top left hand corner, is for ur name. ya know, name. like say.. ai otsuka or smt. then the second one is for thy email or url. your email or universal resource location. yupyups. that means your www.????.com thingy, and your nbdasjk@fnkjas.com thingy. for example.. http://aiotsukar0x.com and aiotsuka@hotmail.com. this field is optional. then the field at the bottom is for your message. what you wanna saaaaay. ie. AI OTSUKA RoX!!!!! kays. that's it. if you need instructions go ask your english teacher. =P

i got nothing to blog today... really! i got nothing at all. oh wait. got one.

just now at kq's house playing tennis. play halfway thru, picking balls tat time a swarm of heaven-knows-what flew over my head.. ard my head level. so i hadta bend down. imagine that.. it was like bees only it was not so noisy.. and it looked like dust at first. until i realised it was impossible that so many pieces of black plastic coulda been blown into the air so high up.. i was on a rooftop tennis court btw. yeah. and the funniest thing is that no one else saw it. o.o;

btw, monday got sch. so rmb to do ur hw and go back to sch on monday. yupyups.

rmb i was complaining abt some of e teachers in sch on wed? today we really got into trouble wit a teacher.

the story: chung ls walks into class with that "i'm fricken pissed so dont bother me" look on her face. she sits down, then goes "you're gonna paint like this? is this how your sitting?!" then she sits. any irrelevant details will be neglected. later, around 9.05, krishnan and angelin strut into class. no greetings were exchanged, and krishnan and angelin began walking ard class and talking to us. darryl recognised that smt was wrong. teachers usually said hi to each other when they meet.. not this kind of dao attitude. so u know la. smt was definitely brewing. after a couple minutes.. prolly one or two mins. chung just walks out the back door. odd. she never took the backdoor. ever. (contributed by darryl) darryl made a hand signal like a shrug with his hands outstretched by his sides, smt like saying "what happened?" krishnan just smiled. (/contributed) the pair left a while later. chung returned quite soon, with an even more pissed off look on her face. she introduced the muffins she bought us for youth day. then a scolding ensued, and she left the class. never to return. at least for today.

content of the scolding:
chung: "the reaction from your class and 4-10 is so different. when i told them i bought them muffins, they were cheering away,"
(earlier)chung: "erm. i bought you all muffins for youth day. its up to you if you wanna eat it. if you dont want it i can just give it to another class."
(now)chung: "i think. the class ends here. all i've put in will stop here. -cant remember- .. ... ... ... ... if you dont want the muffins, you can just throw it away blatantly where i can see it. i was waiting for you to invite me to join you with the painting. you know you can ask your teachers to join you? but you didn't. this can be seen during especially during the aspiring teacher award. i'm not trying to say anything, but i was disappointed. a teacher came to me and told me that a lot of people in my class voted for her. and other form teachers also told me how much their form classes voted for them. so all i've put in for the class is not appreciated?
zhuangyong: "but mrs chung. we voted for ms krishnan cos that day was the eng prelim-"
chung: "i dont wanna hear anymore!"
zy: "but that day was the eng prelim, and krishnan really put in-"
chung: "zhuang yong. no more! i can just break the tile okay. i wouldn't be so angry if that teacher hadn't bragged to me abt the votes. -stuff i cant rmb- ... ... ..." *walks off*

DISCLAIMER: all of the above was as i rmb it. its prolly diff from the original, but the meaning shld be similar.

discussion: after this there was mostly two types of reactions. one said that maybe we shld do smt to pacify her. the other said that it was her fault, and it was circumstances that made it happen. gedeon even said we shld write a petition to the office and request a change of form teacher. "so what if u abandon us? it doesn't mean we cant just dump you. its a two way relationship okay!" yeah. and also on that day, many of us were comtemplating voting chung, llp, mdm ng and krishnan. but just right we voted on the day of the eng prelim.. then u know la. the first thing that comes to our mind is definitely the teacher that helped us thru the prelim.. so we vote krishnan. and also cos her personality is like, much better than chung's. dennis said "i can picture chung as like.. a little girl. very xiao3 qi4 (petty) and temper very bad.." kinda thing.. so it seems now chung and krishnan not on good terms le. cos prolly the teacher that chung was saying was "bragging to her that she had many votes" was krishnan.

school politics huh. cant believe she nv even give us face on youth day lor.. suan4 le4. forget it. i got better things to think abt. literally.

dont spook yourself. lols! cant believe anyone coulda thought of that.
