anw, i gotta blog abt ytd's tech run. motherfathers screwed up!! we're so dead this fri lah. okay no offense but we dont tink we'll get 3rd. but getting 1st is abit hard. that band ah. they're impossible. their drummer is WHOA. like zhirui said, 'eh amos how much u pay him to play for u?' he's impossibly good for a j1 lah. apparently the dude is florentina's brother. amazing lah. the way he drums is like whoa. i'll never reach that standard.

yeah, so as i was saying. yeah. motherfathers is screwed. yeah. the 'is' is not a grammatical error cos the band's called motherfathers with an S. haha. anw yeah. we're kinda screwed if we cant beat that band. but we rock, they jazz. so i dont think its comparable? i mean they cant play rock as well as we do. just face it. =x but damn their jazz is scary lah. they dont haf rah rah but they can beat us without it.

okay. tt was a slight evaluation of us and our competition. so.. see how stuff goes this friday lah. we've had our last jamming session today. so we're gonna bank on ur winning with this.

wow i havent posted in like 2 days. hahaha

so like yeah. these two days havent been particularly eventful except for a couple things. like say.. talentime auditions!!! muarharharharharharh.

so like, the band's in. hahaha. we had a rocking run during the audition lah. we played our trademark -- jesus of suburbia followed by all these things i've done. total rockness. haha. we're gonna take the champion's trophy on friday at this rate. x))

oh. and we were invited to play for some international science fair thing. sounds big eh. but omg YESSS. hahaha. we're known! but the science fair thingy is according to stanley, who heard it frm chriselle, who heard it from tan chih yuan. so yeah. it goes a long way and stuff may haf been added. but still!! we haf a gig in may. MUARHARHS. and if it really is to the public and international.. sounds REALLY big. hahaha. motherfathers totally rock lah. x)

oh and one other thing. i'm super pissed with.. with dunno wad also lah. but its annoying lah. i haf my long hair then noone says anything. i cut it short and i get caught by sharon phua.

MOTHERFATHERS!!!

i completed the tabs (score) for move along so i'm rockin and ready to play at talentime 07. x) oh of course score referring only to the drum score lah. hahaha.

watch out for us next friday, 2nd feb 07. i know the audits arent here yet, but who cares. the audits dont make a diff. we're still gonna be there. muarharharh. >=)

i'm gonna be super black.

tennis at like 1 - 230 pm. hahaha. amazing rite. the afternoon sun blazing behind my back, or infront of my beautiful sk-II face. hahaha. okay tt was uber sarcasm. but lucky the sun only came out at abt 145, if nt i'd really look like a (huge) piece of bak kwa. but now i tink the tan is just nice. for one afternoon, tt is. =x

i tink the short hair really helps. i play better now cos i can actually _see_. hahaha. yeah. one of the considerations i had when i was deciding whether or not to let the fringe fly with the wind. apparently my decision was correct with respect to this. x)

i went for a wedding today!!

its quite amusing lah. cos we dont really know the bride and groom at all. the bride is supposedly my dad's cousin. but yeah. we like dint even know them. my auntie said tt she dint even speak to that family for like maybe 10 years? hahaha.

anw i thought the decor there was nice. heres a sample:

anw i thought the food was even better. =x u know they usually haf these like. buffet style stuff rite. the stuff is usually crap. like not really good. here i think they spent like a fortune on the food. its like amazing lah. even the drinks are better than the stuff we can usually get at home. its just punch, but it dint taste like water. it even tasted like the kinda we can get from the cartons. like peelfresh. kinda like that. hahha. it was good lah. i've never tasted a better buffet reception. or at least the kind tt they lay the metal trays there and u grab what u want. it usually sucks bad. =x

but yeah. tts all i did today. i swear saturdays are boring without anything on.

the competition was damn cool lah!! it was...

cancelled. =\ cos of rain. and the tournament officials are damn smart. they made us wait there for abt half an hr while it was raining quite heavily. i mean like obviously cant play alr but they still make us wait. very clever la these ppl. anw yea. no play. but i alr knw who my opponents are. they're the boey bros. i'm gonna haf a fun time. if u get my sarcasm. hahaha

anw i'm really intent on changing my hairdo, so if anyone has any nice ideas feel free to suggest k. but please no brainless ideas like shave it all off or smt like that. tts just stupid. u knw i'd never do that. hahaha

note to self: having two angels and two mortals is hell. imagine valentines' day! hahaha. no actually tts not all. i wrote 4 letters these 2 days. i'll just die k. =x

anw, today's blog entry is actually just cos of one story tt i just GOTTA tell. hahaha. yaknow, this yr's j1s just looooove studying. remember how we were last yr during the first few days of sch? total playness rite. only lectures and no tutorials, sch was out everyday at like 10am etc etc. hahaha. anw yea now our j1s haf full timetables out alr. and the most brilliant thing is tt their kiasu teachers dumped hw on them. or these j1s are so pro tt they alr finished all their year's work. okay anw onto the story. hahaha

i went to the library at abt 1pm today and guess wad. NO SEATS AT ALL. the place was filled with those little kids taking up our big people's chairs in the library. they were doing hw. i tink the library was quieter than if j2s had filled the place anw. its creepy k. i've never had a problem with seats in the library, and i sure never expected it to be like on the 2nd day of lessons for the j1s. i tink all the j2s had short days and went home alr lah. our perfect juniors, instead, went to the library and started studying. perfect. hahaha

yep. amazing story rite. moral of the story? stop studying. its like jan 16th and ur promos are a million years away. =)

i realised ytd that when listening to the ingstad walk in song i can actually get all emo and stuff.

its like that song has so much meaning to me now. its not just a hodge podge of many random songs made just for the ingstad walk in. now its like a whole new song tt has a whole new meaning to me. i guess all the dance sessions have made this song really.. special to me. i have never really participated in a dance production before. this walk in was my first, and i guess since i was taking the solo with ryan and helping huiting to coordinate the guys' formations and stuff the song really means alot to me now.

anw, today's outing was erm. for lack of a better word, a great success. i have to admit that i was appalled by it at first, since alot of the juniors were going for the pizzas over and over again and some of us ogls like aaron and i had nothing to eat for awhile. however, after awhile the feeling of disgust disappeared and i got back into the spirit of er. fun.

i was actually really emo most of tonite. its like.. the feeling of leaving 07a02. this week spent taking care of them like they were my own kids has really bonded me to them all. its not the feeling of an ogl, but more like the feeling of being their classmate. i've played with them, talked to them, led them around school, created scandals etc. and its like i've really grown attached to this bunch of people.

and now its time to say goodbye. no more og sessions, no more clan sessions, no more war games, no more lunches together. its now back to 06s14 and its boring books. this week has passed too quickly. all the fun we had, all the times we spent, all the words we exchanged, they'll now be just a part of our memories. the memories of odyssey, njc orientation '07.

they'll be in my heart always; the people and the memories.

so.. its like over. 2 months' worth of preparation (or more on the councillors' part) all over. its a sad feeling tho.

annarine and han ern yesterday said that they were relieved that orientation was coming to an end. for me it is definitely not very much of a bittersweet event. i wont get to have so much fun, i wont get to do anymore mass dance, and most of all, i wont get to see my lovely 07a02 so much anymore.

i havent blogged abt external hunt and beyond yet.

the external hunt was really fun. x) i haf a slack og!!! hahaa =x in the first half (little india + chinatown), we completed only the bare-minimum 5 pitstops. in the 2nd half in the east, we completed a below-minimum one stop! and it was given out of pity even. hahaha. but i'm sure we had lotsa bonding and stuff from there. eg scandals lalala. hahaha

after the entire external hunt we kinda reached sch like an hr late. haha. lucky we were forgiven cos the stupid 403 is small and comes every million days. so yea. not our fault k. =x

thursday: alot of mass dance. haha. mostly the stay-in-sch stuff and yaknow. stuff. the weather was mad lah. early morning was warm, then it rained like mad in the afternoon. it kinda rained all the way until today. and its still raining now. (yay. kinda. haha. i'm an emo dude tt likes rain. x)) so we dint do much outside sch. there wasnt anyting much planned for tt day anw. mass dance in the gym is hot. no pun intended. hahaha

oh yeah. ogl oei cheers!! haha. more details next time x)

oh anw we were choosing the ct reps during the civics tutor admin session that day. jianhao is our ct rep and valerie is our house affiliate! *thunderous applause* oh btw valerie had a landslide victory, taking 19 votes of a possible 24 and beating the second place by 13 votes. hahaha. second place was actually bruno, but mrs ong noticed tt joel bruno and jianhao had very similar vote counts, so she called for a re-voting of the three. jianhao took 9 of 24 votes, beating bruno by 2 later. jianhao thus took the place of ct rep. oh man this sounds like a news report. hahaha. i'd actually like to see them both in council tho =x

after sch a small bunch of us went to bukit timah plaza to buy stuff for today's bbq. if i'm nt wrong there was jianhao bruno delle valerie perdana jac nina rachel and me. i hope i din miss anyone =x so we like spent 190 bucks, all paid for by bruno. like totally THANKS!!! haha. i overheard today an ogl telling her og tt their budget was one hundred. we spent abit above our budget of 300. and its all provided for by bruno. so nice of him lah. haha.

after tt was the junior-senior class outing for s14. i er. cant really comment much la. i cant say tt i got to know any of them really well. heh =x anw they left like 10 mins after nina and i arrived on the scene. so kinda like nothing much lor.

today: finale. haha. it was raining like mad as totally unexpected la. no sarcasm k. i tot tt since it rained ytd it wld be safe today =\ but well it kept raining anw. war games was pushed back and simplified. and it was kinda a mess la. but its kinda cool tt the first bunch of players kinda respected the ogls quite alot and dint hit any of us. apparently only huiting got whacked. the 2nd bunch of players slew all the ogls on the scene. hahaha

anw before that was the mass dance competition!!! go fariz and shabana!! haha. the dancing was kinda cool lah, but the results were erm. unexpected. but from wad i know there is a totally logical explanation behind the questionable results of the 2nd place winners. well teachers are logical arent they. hahaha

after tt erm. og bonding!! okay alot of weird games were played during this part. i kinda slacked and did mass dance while they were playing dog and bone, or fireman and iceman wad tingy. haha. i played mafia tho. =x

after tt was the finale. dance party. haha. 07a02 kids can REALLY bbq well. omg the food was gd and the fire was great, courtesy of joel and valerie. haha. omg i just rmbed i dint touch the taiwanese sausages. ARGH. haha. but anw wan lin and delle's chicken wing cooking skills were leet. and jianhao's marinate and bruno's honey totally topped it off. haha. i swear the food there was better than at many bbqs i've ever been to. x) it was also really heartwarming to see the entire og working together on the bbq and bonding while doing tt as well. its like i said: it was cold and raining outside but inside u get warm food cooked by all ur juniors. its like the feeling of a family lah. u sorta get the warm and fuzzy feeling inside. x) oh and the coolest part: they refused to let the ogls cook. haha. they totally paokaliao everyting for us. they even treated our little homeless kid as their own. hahaha

a message to 07a02: U GUYS ROCK. ur like totally the best og an ogl could ever have. u'd make the other ogls jealous of us k. haha. I LOVE U GUYS. =DD

external hunt and station games!! fun! and really tiring too. hahaha

anw today's entry shant be about orientation. or at least it shall be mostly not about orientation. but first. a pic!

YES my angelfish laid eggs and the eggs survived!!! x) this is super cool la. the previous two broods of eggs were all eaten by the parent fish. yes its actually this same mama fish. haha. this time round she resisted her hunger and the eggs managed to hatch! x) the eggs were laid dunno when but the fish actually hatched three nites ago. ytd nite they all disappeared but today they reappeared. when they first hatched all the fry were like stuck to a leaf. apparently cant swim well by themselves yet. but they're now quite fine. x)

WALK IN IS OVER!!!!!

like finally. hahaah. two month's worth of work all over in 7 minutes. but it was a worthwhile 7 minutes. at least we all came out feeling good and whatnot. x) on a more personal note, omg i loved those feathers. hahaha. actually i feel like just going to do the walk in again. just for the feeling of being on 'stage'. its like. a cool feeling la. maybe tts wad gets my band so high and stuff during our gigs too. haha. awesome stuff.

but omg i swear the solaris walk in is amazing. okay skip. hahaha

07A02 ROCKS. haha. we had like more than half the class here today for our og outing. and it was like an impromptu thing. so cool la!! everyone's like good friends alr. well perhaps except those tt din go. but i'm sure they'll follow closely behind. x) tmr can play mafia alr!! okay random. haha. but the outing was amazing la. all the stupid innuendo jokes and wad. 'safe fun.' by faizal. 'what's ur bird?' by rachel. hahaha. madness lah. stripping people of their little scandalous secrets is also fun. oh man i feel so evil now. x)

lets see how tmr turns out. its definitely gonna be good. just a matter of how good. hahaha

intercon tennis today!

it was like so shocking when i saw rayshio samuel and yirong there la. they were like playing against my constituency. perfect. and they all won their games. i lost mine. but i played against top age group players!! so shush. =x

actually having some time to chat with rayshio and yirong was kinda cool. very long nv see them alr. hahaha. yeah i havent gone for training in like forever. so what? xP actually i havent seen samuel in like longer. but i hardly talk to him anw. so er. nvm. hahaha

well anw yea. thomson lost to seletar-cheng san today. like 2-3. so close lah. the mixed doubles was the decider. but i guess the better wins then. haha. richie and chee joon's match was awesome. two top open players playing each other is like really a treat for the eyes. watch them play until like super jealous la. and i nv knew richie was like ranked amongst the top men's singles players. haha. i just learnt tt today. so apparently this year thomson has hope. can perhaps play into the next few rounds in the loser's bracket. see how ba. but its gonna take alot of my time. bleah. lucky the next match isn until after orientation.

wow those feathers actually fly! haha.

today was the final rehearsal. like wow. scary stuff huh. anw our first run was like a MESS. hahaha. we're like always the last to get stuff ready and stuff. infact, maybe we arent even ready yet. =x yeah. its like there were two briefings and we were the last to appear for both. totally awesome. hahaha. but well at least i figured tt the feathers really fly!! not really far, but who cares. at least they float for awhile. haha. they're supposed to disappear after tt and leave the space to me! =x i cant imagine if they fly so far tt everyone's watching them instead. well its gd cos if tt happens less pressure on me. dun hafta try so hard to not screw up. haha x)

so anw our second run was cool. we did alot better but still some ppl ran in the audience etc. (yes rachel goh its et cetera. haha. B. =x) and like. omg i missed the guy's part again T.T i swear from where i am i cant really see them do O la. work so hard with them then i dun get to watch. =\ but who cares. i hear tt it was really good anw. haha. ROCK ON. x)

well they were really quiet at first.. like first and second day. anw second day also not much time to spend with them la. so cannot blame them. i tink last year i was really quiet during the first few days also. darryl even had to remind me tt i was complaining like mad abt the first day la. whoops. =x but anw its nice to see tt at least half the og had opened up before the og bonding on friday and well. perhaps everyone was opened up at the end of them. hahaha. rocking la. x)

congrats to me on my 600th post! haha

anw my internet is finally like okay enuff to get where i wanna get in satisfactory time. but er. i still cant dl anything on torrent quick enuff T.T well anw its gd enuff to blog. x)

so we're like finally j2 today! not tt its a really exciting thing tho. and some bimbo still dare say tt she's sooo excited abt sch. geez. but i guess its better than i expected. most of my 3 depressions is disappearing. oh btw if ur asking what the 3 are, then this msg isnt for u. hahaha.

i guess the worst thing to hit me now is the sudden drop in amount of sleep. for eg i'm halfdead now. no energy to do anything much and i haf chem test tmr. awesome rite. x) i guess this is the life of a j2? haha. i still feel so j1-ish la.

oh talking abt j1s. they look sooo young!! its like one year in nj has aged us so much. hahaha. but these kids really look alot younger than us. its almost like as if the barrier between 16-17 is greater than the 15-16 barrier. i mean u cant really tell the diff ebtween a sec 3 and sec 4. but u can really tell the diff between new j1s and new j2s.

so anw yeea first day of orientation and everyone wld be kinda dead. including us all. haha. so i guess we can just hope for more over the next few days ba. hopefully orientation 07 will turn out to be a blast. x)
