i wonder why people associate appearance and behaviour so much. i look like a gangster doesnt imply that i behave like one, and i behave like a gangster doesnt imply that i have to look like one. no doubt, theres a correlation, however weak, but is it fair to those that do not fall on the line?

i'm not happy. because someone imposed a judgment on one of my close friends based only on his appearance.

on another note, ACNE OUTBREAK. 3 pimples just appeared on my face, and all in damn weird locations. argh. wanna hear? i'll tell you. one on my nose, one on my chin (means i cant really shave there anymore) and one on my lip. like wtf?

ah. my little 2 hour project completed. x)

anyway, i forgot to post about my baking session with the baby girl. it was fairly interesting, cos we had no idea what molasses are. (sounds like mole asses ;D but its supposed to be some dark thick semi-sweet liquid) and well, yeah it was a requirement on the list. so anyway we just went ahead. lol.

oh, and is 3 large eggs equal to 4 smaller eggs? cos maybe we made our gingerbread men dough abit too dilute. cos we put 4 eggs. hahaha. so yeah the taste came out abit (very) bland. but hey! i could still smell the spice from pretty far away. the spicy gingery taste came out nicely. x) and the texture of the cookie is good too!! its just not sweet enough ><

and after the entire baking session, when i was on my way back, i received this amusing sms. "i just realised that we forgot to put the black pepper in our cookie dough!" owells. hahahaha.

but all in all it was super fun. ;D pictures on my girl's blog yup. i'm feeling lazy. hahaha.

alright, as promised, i shall blog about my japan trip. with photos. some. or a few. ;D haha cos shaun is too lazy to post many many photos. ^^;

in general the place was SUPER cool lah. the people there are damn polite. except at shinsaibashi. but yeah everywhere else they were damn polite. service standard is superb. nuff said. hahaha.

and yeah it was damn cold. wear 3 layers can still freeze to death. no gloves/pockets to put your hands in = DIE. scarves are optional but i think they look good. ;D and er.

its so damn cold, but the schoolgirls there really wear their skirts that short. to have an idea of how short 'that short' is, go read a few high school romance manga. no kidding. i've even seen some shorter than that pictured in manga. but i think its based on school, cos i also see whole groups of schoolgirls with long skirts. and they wear pigtails. they dare to wear pigtails!! omg moe. hahaha. nope, no pics of schoolgirls available. ^^;

oh. and the people there dress really well. they really are not afraid of standing out. they just dress to impress each time. guys accessorise and do their hair in a way that it seems like they take 2 hrs each morning to get dressed. oh. and the girls there are amazing. the temperature is like 7 degrees and i see more short skirts and really short shorts than i see in orchard road on our average day. yep. i think that locals shd learn to dress like them. dont be afraid to stand out ;D and i saw many damn cute girls there. but even more ugly ones. ew. hahaha.

i had alot of cup ramen there. like maybe 4 cups. it was all really good lah. japanese cup ramen is amazing. its so much better than our cup noodles. ^^: and the selection is great too. but the price is ahem also. hahaah.

alright, onto the actual stuff.



1st day

this day wasnt much. just the flight, then hotel, then out for dinner. it was interesting only cos my parents found out how amazingly difficult it was to get food. cos all the menus were in jap and the storeowners were terrible at english. i easily got my seaweed udon tho ;D *ego* the foodcourts there are different too. we were supposed to clear our own trays and stuff like in school. and everyone did that without fail. like wow. at night before we went back, the temperature was abt 6 degrees. we could easily smoke while talking and breathing. damn cool x)

2nd day

disneyland!!! nuff said. hahaha. the rides were mostly disappointing tho. there wasnt any plunging roller coaster ride. but the space mountain was amazing enough. a really fast ride in total darkness. brace for a left turn and the thing goes right. hahaha. and yeah. the queues are as long as they say. for good rides, you can wait for an hour. and it was a weekday. for lousy rides the wait is like 5 mins. no kick. haha. but apart from the space mountain.. i think no other ride is really worth mentioning lah. go to genting and take their corkscrew and flying coaster. lol.

oh. and it was a school day, but i saw millions of schoolkids. like middle school and high school kids. have no idea why they're at disneyland on a schoolday. haha.

after disneyland it was chinese dinner and hotel.


day 3

sightseeing day. i gotta say, the sights were nice, but it was boring. no pics for this one, since it was so boring. hahaha. dont ask me what the link is. ;D

after sightseeing, it was time for abit of crappy shopping at a place in err. i forgot where. haha. the mall itself is called palette town tho (pokemon anyone?) and there was this ferris wheel. we rode it. ;D sorry for being such a spoilsport, but it was boring too. 15 minutes lah. madness. hahaha. and the shopping area was like all super expensive stuff. so we dint buy anything. crappy lah. -.-;

at night, we went to this hot spring hotel. so basically its built next to this hot spring and they draw the water into a room into the hotel for use as a public bath. that we bathed in. public bathing is quite creepy lah. everone can see everything. its bad only cos the bath isnt unisex T.T hahahaha well anyway yeah. its super warm water tho. 41 degrees. wanna die lah. we were advised not to stay in for more than 5 minutes at a time cos its so warm. and i did just that. after that, we would shower in a shower area in the same room. also very public. only that its a sit-down shower. so yeah. well. no photos of the bathing area tho. xP

and yup, this is the night that i spent in the rural-ish area that yanqin talked about. cos its at the base of a mountainous area. but the room we got was the biggest in the entire trip -- it was like a suite lah. one living area joined by two equally large rooms. it was like a small chalet. haha

day 4

another sightseeing day. i swear all these sightseeing things are getting damn boring lah.

we were supposed to go to mt fuji in the morning, but it was raining with strong winds so noone was allowed up. ;_;

after that, we went off to one of their great lakes. the one which we went to first is just well. a series of 8 pools. its nice tho. cos the water is so clear and theres fish. and the water is SUPER cold. there was a written challenge to us to put our hands in the water for 30 seconds. obviously impossible. hahaha. i took some nice pics here. x)

after that, we went off to a real great lake. its like this huge ocean lah. but its just a lake. that's foggy. with ducks sitting on it. yeah. yawn.

later we went to this he ping gong yuan. translated directly, it sounds like peace garden. so yeah. it has 33 statues of guanyin. that's about it. boreded.

day 5

more sightseeing!!!!! *dies* but okay. today was more interesting cos i went to some places that i saw in anime. like kiyomizu-dera and todai-ji and nara deer park. x)

first up was nara deer park. the deer are super damn cute lah! they dont mind walking up to people and asking for food and all. and if they know you have food. hahaha. they start nibbling you and nudging you and a whole herd goes after you. kinda like tsukasa in one of the lucky star episodes. hahaha. but they were super cute. pics! x)

after that was todai-ji. they have this super big buddha in the temple that's surrounded by like a large number of other smaller but still big buddhas. x.x

and last up was kiyomizu-dera. its really interesting cos this temple is built real high up on stilts, so the view from it is amazing. plus the shopping at the base of the temple is interesting. more pics ;D

day 6

universal city!! more amazing rides here x)) pity i only took one photo cos i was getting sianded of whipping out my phone's camera at everything. =x

we took the hollywood dream ride first. its this amazingly high and fast roller coaster ride with about 6 plunges so you can plunge until you get bored of it. when i checked the speed on some roller coaster database just now, i found out that it goes at 90 km/h and its longest plunge is my estimation of 40 metres. that makes it about more than 10 storeys. WHEEEEE. hahaha. when i went down the first plunge tears came to my eyes lah. nutcase. hahaha. but it was super damn fun. but i queued an hour for it ;_; and i was early. later when i checked, the queue length was 135 minutes. and later, cos of strong winds they had to close the ride. like lol. but it was AWESOME. no pics of it tho. heh. check it on wiki!


spiderman the 3d ride was amazing too. its this moving motion simulator with pyrotechnics and all that amazing stuff. super cool. but not thrilling.

back to the future was crap.

jurassic park the ride is only nice for its 25.9m plunge that left me all wet cos i sat at the extreme back left seat. so i was wet and cold for the rest of the day. T.T

at night was shopping at shinsaibashi. it was like shopping at bugis, plaza sing, queensway and orchard all at one go. its really amazing. and its one LONG long line. then theres ebisubashi and the opposite side too. so theres really alot of amazing shopping. but i dint buy anything T.T

the three of us (me, bro and cousin) had dinner by ourselves away from the tour group cos we were sick of chinese food (oh i dint mention, but we had more chinese than japanese food over at japan cos the stupid travel agency arranged almost all chinese meals. basket) we went for some authentic japanese ramen. has anyone ever eaten ajisen? its amazing right. go to japan and you'll cry. we had their backstreet ramen where theres no queue and its really just no frills ramen. it was AMAZING. one sip of the soup and you'd wanna cry. hahaha. so much better than ajisen. tho ajisen is already so good. their simple backstreet ramen just smacks it like that. i cant imagine what their jing1 long2 ramen is like. that was one of the super crowded ramen restaurants there. haha.

day 7

last day! simple stuff lah. just breakfast and flight back.

breakfast by today is really really boring. cos it seems like every hotel serves the same thing. green tea, miso. i dont mind. scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, rice, porridge, toast, cereal. SIAN. so i was really bored by now. haha.

hello everyone!

shaun's back. and feeling very warm. no aaron its not your fault. xP

anyway. japan was awesome!! the temperature was like an average of 9 during the day and 6 during the night. on mt fuji and some other mountain it was like 2. when the winds blew then well. heh. you know. hahaha.

but i shant blog abt it now. i need a break. super exhausted x.x

anw, thanks alot to my guest blogger!! haha. after reading the entries, i can only conclude one thing. she's kinda nuts. but its okay. i love her anyway. hahaha. i hope my readers liked her entries. cos i mean, they were pretty short. except one. but okay lah. nothing to blog about also. so cannot blame her right. xP at least the entries kept the cobwebs from appearing. ;D

hello everybody! im shaun's favourite guest blogger. hahaha. (there's only one anw) lol. anw, im here to frequently update his blog so that cobwebs will not grow in here.

that lucky boy flew to japan ytd morning. sigh.. leaving me down here in singapore, err reading harry potter. to prevent him from forgetting what he has done there, i think i wld update his readers on what he's up to, from what he had told me. so.. when he reached there ytd afternoon, they travelled to the hotel and had dinner and then slack. lolx what a waste of time. hehex. but they went disneyland today(!!) lucky boy. that's all for now.

it's a wonder how nature is so amazing. the sun sets very early in japan. while the country that me went in june, sun sets at 930pm. mind you. haha. okay this is random

gradnight 2007.

terrible jamming. worst ever, even worse than our first practice.

and really the perfect time to fall ill. i guess that's what made the jamming bad. i messed up a few times, like during the great escape's intro. terrible messup.

food was bad.

but entertainment was interesting. the emcee was awesome.

photos were taken.

but it was kinda torturous cos i really just wanted to sit down and quietly enjoy the evening so that my head and stomach wouldnt explode.

so in like almost all my photos i looked dead/unwilling.

sad eh.

but i guess i left some memories behind as well.

runners up for sweetest couple is pretty sweet.

so it wasnt all bad. =)
