shaun went to a cosplay shop today! hahaha. i tried on this kyon uniform. damn nice! only thing was that the button hole in the pants was too small and i couldnt squeeze the button through it. but yeah the rest of the suit was nice. it looked something like this. yeah i know its really basic but still, i'm a newbie! maybe next time i'll try that d'gray man one. ;D

and someone tried on a vampire knights costume that was also really zomg. hahaha it looked like this only that it was in white.

sorry i cant post any photos. there's only one photo of the vampire knights one and none of me in the kyon uniform cos that shop had a no photos policy (we didnt know that when she was trying on the vampire knights outfit. hahaha) so we're gonna have to keep the vampire knights photo private even if we do have it ><

cosplay is fun! think i shd try it next time. haha. problem is that the next cosplay event is on 13th dec, and that's the very day that i'm coming back from shanghai. even if i do make it back on time, there's that dinner thingy that boss is planning. owells.

but i think most of all i shd commend the spirit of the staff over at the otaku house @ suntec. even though it was quite obvious that we werent gonna buy or rent the costumes the staff were still really on and helped us with the stuff. they were like so enthu about helping us that i felt bad and absolutely had to get my brother's birthday present from the store. i ended up getting my keychain (i've been needing one forever) and a set of lucky star figurines from there too. haha. gotta love that place.

oh and did i mention. their cashier was cosplaying as haruhi. and she was cute. zomg. hahaha

i havent blogged in awhile!

anyway today is just a bit of random stuff.

on sunday i had my driving lesson and this time round i was taught some very interesting thing. apparently license holders pay 50 bucks and they're covered for life. pdl holders pay 25 bucks for half a year. my instructors comments? pdl holders pay so much more so we're the kings of the road!! hahaha.

last week i was sitting in the bus on the way to work as usual. one thing that wasnt usual, however, was that there was this irritating uncle sitting at the back of the bus blaring loud ancient chinese music. i coulda sworn that i shot him the dirtiest look i could muster. twice. and still he didnt do anything. he even saw the dirty looks. argh. so inconsiderate. its like please lah get a pair of earphones or smt. you wanna listen to your music but I DONT.

bleh. i think he's so ancient he wont even see this post anyway. but to all of you who blare loud music in the bus -- you're retards. dont do it.

i SUCK. hahahaha you ever hear of an L plate being brave enough to horn at a lorry that's getting out of hand? muahahaha

and i swear, one mistakes leads to more and within a span of like 5 seconds i can make 4 or 5 mistakes at one go. its like stall, start, car lunges forward (almost killed someone (i wish (but almost did hit the car in front (if it wasnt already moving off)))) damnit didnt press clutch, press clutch, start again, then ZOMG flashing green arrow already.

i must be one of his worst students lah. hahaha how to get the license on the same day but 2 years later than shane like this!!

i noticed that there are some things that girls wear that can really catch my attention.

first up are brightly coloured shorts. stuff like bright blue, hot pink, white. especially fbts. i've seen girls in hot pink fbts and zomg faint.

next up are the skater skirts. these are frilly (but not as frilly as gothic lolita) skirts that bounce bounce bounce bounce when the girl walks. and the bouncing skirt really.. catches.. my... eyes... o.o;;; and some girls can actually pull this off really well.

and who can forget gothic lolita itself. the frilly skirts also bounce bounce bounce, and the dark yet contrasted colours (black+red, black+purple) just stand out in the crowd because, well. most people dont dress in these colours. not to mention that gothic lolita looks so... intriguing. it seems to match almost any girl that has long hair and is not too.. well. large. actually, maybe i've only seen girls that match it, so it looks as though all girls match it. i've never actually seen a whale trying to don gothic lolita.

and omg. cosplay. okay actually this one catches my attention not because it looks good on most girls, but because well, they usually look really special! actually, as a matter of fact, i think most cosplayers are quite disappointing because the anime girls are usually soooooooo cute. its not really possible to compare real girls to anime girls anyway, because of all the warped proportions on the anime girls. anime girls are just typicaly built to look cute (they at least look good), while real girls.. arent. or most of them, anyway. not to mention that most cosplayers dont choose their characters properly, so you have really weird cosplay. guy cosplayers included. but all in all, cosplayers are really brave, and just having the gusto to cosplay is special in itself. not to mention that most cosplay costumes are really nice. random fact: shaun loves the haruhi and lucky star uniforms ;D

its funny how my paragraphs just got longer and longer. haha





anyway, just now i was in my parents car on the way out of vivo. we were in the multistorey carpark, and i kid you not. we took a good 45 minutes (or was it an hour?) just getting out of the 7th storey of the carpark. yes. we waited in the queue to get out of the building, and only left the level after 45 minutes. i dont know what was happening, but after the 45 minutes things started moving and it was almost like this is a standard saturday evening home crowd.

was it? i dont know, but the way we were waiting was certainly pretty crazy.

i'm back to playing kingdom of loathing! some people are gonna say now that i'm really bored, or nth to do or smt like that. >.>

anyway! the area after my last lower jaw left molar is starting to hurt! does this mean that my wisdom teeth are starting to come out, or does it mean something bad is happening..? x.x it sucks lah, sometimes the pain is so bad i just gotta stop and not move for awhile. and now i cant chew with my left side. so argh!! it doesnt feel right when your steak cant be chewed with both sides, yaknow?


i've been ranting about this for ages, but still PEOPLE ARE NOT GETTING OUT OF THE WAY WHEN I'M TRYING TO DISEMBARK FROM AN MRT. annoyed. nowadays i'm so annoyed at this behaviour that when people just stand outside the door i glare, knock them out of the way then say 'EXCUSE ME' pretty loudly. it makes me sound like a bastard, but at least i know that in terms of civic morals that they're trying to pass around i'm not lower than these door-blocking !#)^$#@s. geez.


i realised that girls in baby or hot pink automatically get an additional 1 or 2 points respectively. yes, pink is a cool colour on girls. pity many singaporean girls dont dare to wear it! (or at least, i think so.) i was told that its because girls dont wanna be called bimbos when wearing pink.

which kinda reminds me. are people afraid to dress up because of criticism and judgement by others too? its kinda like, if a girl dresses up too nicely out, or to school, other girls may be like 'omg is she trying to attract that guy?' or 'she dresses like a slut!' or something like that. if this is really the reason, its really, really sad cos maybe, people are thinking too much about what others think. maybe its a confidence thing.

yaknow, i was just thinking that if one thinks too much about what others think, one will have no time to think about what one thinks. quite silly, but it works for me.

now that i'm done clearing my backlog of posts to reply on facebook..


people were laughing at me on thursday, at how i could be so blissfully oblivious to the fact that my officemates had bought me a blackforest cake during lunchtime; to the fact that they could wrangle up the entire branch without so much as arousing my suspicion. and it was really funny, that when the branch sang my birthday song for me, at the part where they say my name, it was a big blur. because names like 'kimberly' 'kitty' 'shauna' 'chicken' all came out. hahahaha.

it was also really sweet when you asked to meet me on thursday, nearer to my place than yours -- at the other end of the mrt line even -- just to see me and give me my birthday present.

then the amazing bbq seafood dinner at changi (that i didnt pay a cent for) that had amazing talent and eyecandy everywhere.

then the biennale (we have two more stations to go to!) and the really pretty (and emo) halloween goth girl with the blank eyes and evil pumpkin jack-o-lantern, gothic lolita dress and TWIN PIGTAILS. (it wasnt frayed, btw. it stayed safe somehow ;D)

and the meet up session at timbre, even though it was just 4 of us.


the three days encompassing my birthday and the days before and after were nothing short of amazing. thanks everyone! =)
