i'm SUPER tired today, so pardon me if i say stupid things. stupid like what? like this --
you have two halves and a whole making a banana, and the coconuts and hippotomuses are marching in this general direction.
--------------------
yesterday i went bowling at a certain country club, and there were zomg many abandoned personal balls there. one of them was an old (but still reactive) ball that gave me a 140 because of the nice hooking ability. another friend grabbed a plastic spin ball, scored two turkeys and ended with 152. we later asked for permission and brought the balls home.
i am happy. ;D

the cause: that friggin aisle is only wide enough for one person. either that or i'm too fat.
the problem: my good intentions had bad repercussions.
the story: today, i was on a roughly crowded 162. it was one of the new low-floor single deck buses. you know, the kind that is low in front, really high at the back and that has a seat belt for the middle seat of the last row. so there was quite a few people crowding around the front, and i was among the new bunch that was entering. seeing that it was quite empty at the back behind the stairs, i went up and stood there instead. see, good intentions! i didnt wanna clog the front up.
so later the bus reached taka and alot of people from the back wanted to get off. i couldnt move further in the back because some people from the last row had already stood up and were blocking the way in. so i had no choice but to stand to one side of the aisle (that had maybe enough space for another person to
really squeeze through) while those people got off. so in the end what happened? i looked like i was blocking the path of like the 10-odd people that were getting off from the back. twas totally messed up.
this is gonna be a major point against me moving to the back to allow other people to get on the bus.

a friend had to send some email, and he typo-ed dealt with as 'dealth with'. i quote my best friend mr aaron ng:
HAHAHA that's a hint there. 'dealth with' means kill you.
... random conversation...
"dealth with" sounds different wad. if it was dealt with people would be like nvm but if its 'dealth with' then they will be like 'okok i return the ******'.

it is a
really cool feeling when you're in school and people ask you what you're doing there. imagine if that happened like two years ago!
but its also so sad that people were crying left and right (and kx is in trouble cos someone cried on his shoulder! hahahahaa) i think like. pretty much all my juniors did bad. maybe like one or two did well, that's it. o.o;
its like, when you're not the one taking the results you can really see what the place is like. for once, being the one that's not gonna be affected by the results (even teachers have to account for their ppl), you can see all the happy faces, all the sad faces, and those that are like yeah i did okay. maybe, but just maybe, taking your results kinda blinds you to the stuff happening around you, so being neutral allows you to see so much more, and experience so much more.
its kinda like how you can share in the tension of the people that you know, waiting for their results, wanting to look at that life-changing piece of pink paper. then when friggin 4 As and a B for GP appears, you scream out loud and want to curse that person to death for doing so well. then on the other hand if you see your little junior just seated on the floor bawling her heart out, you just kinda feel bad too. and you feel the worst when you approach a junior who, as you may find out later, was just keeping the tears away. these are things that you wont experience when taking the results yourself.
but then, there's also the funny bits. like ji siao-ing the teachers, saying that you're a private candidate going to sch to get results. and also ji siaoing the new teachers who are in charge of the college(omg i forgot how to spell this word) annual and who have to go around reminding ppl to collect their books. i think we were super evil to her. hahahaha
going back to sch on results day is quite an experience. haha

so ironic that i was just asking that question like a week or two ago and then things happen. but well, no matter.
class 95 somehow coincidentally did a feature on the same topic a few days after i asked it. very similar to the tags you've all posted (thanks alot for the responses! ;D) most of the callers said that they didnt believe in the one, and that people should give and take reasonably. but the djs had a nice counterargument.
what if, like, one day you were with this girl. and she seemed pretty good, but she had certain flaws. maybe you'll decide to marry her, and say that 'yeah i'll get used to these flaws, i'll accept them eventually'. then you get married. what happens if a few months later you're like, 'no i cant accept these flaws anymore'? what then?
personally i was for the anti-'the one' group, but after listening to that, and after certain of my life's experiences, i was like, yeah. maybe yaknow, it might be easier to find someone that's your type than to try to change a person into what you want/like. maybe 'the one' doesnt exist, but people that are acceptably close enough do exist.
but then again, it is already hard enough to find a person that you can connect with. what if this person has flaws that you cant stand? what then?
i want to believe that the one exists. its just so nice and comforting to know that someone you can accept for who she is, and who will likewise take you for who you are, exists there, and may someday cross paths with you.
then someone will come and tell me to wake up. hahaha.
but hope is the first and greatest step towards disappointment. hoping that someone changes wouldnt work, but finding someone that needs minimal changes, or who needs changes that you dont really care about anyway, is ideal.
i'm starting to believe in the one.
